Visiting Manuel Antonio is a must when you're in Costa Rica. With its white sand beaches surrounded by lush forest, towering trees, curious monkeys, and an incredible variety of wildlife, it's one of the most iconic destinations in the country.
And yes—you can add pickleball to your trip.
While there are no public courts designed specifically for pickleball in Manuel Antonio or Quepos (yet!), there are still a few great options for getting your game on:
Parador is one of the top hotels in Manuel Antonio—and it just happens to have its own private pickleball court. It’s an open-air court surrounded by trees, with paddles and balls available on-site. The court is reserved for guests only, so if you're traveling with other pickleball players, it's a great way to guarantee some quality matches during your stay.
The hotel also offers a wide range of amenities, including a beautiful pool, ocean views, excellent food and service, hiking trails, a full-service spa, gym, yoga platform, mini golf, and a game room—all set in a peaceful jungle environment.
The pickleball community in Manuel Antonio and Quepos is small but growing, and visitors are always welcome. Locals play on multiuse courts that do have pickleball lines, but they share the space with other sports.
There’s a small $4 fee to join, which helps cover the cost of maintaining the nets, balls, and other shared equipment.
You’ve got two options depending on your schedule:
Quepos Multiuse Court – an open-air court
🕕 Open Play: Fridays from 6:00 am to 7:00 am
Polideportivo Manuel Antonio – a covered court
🕕 Open Play: Mondays & Wednesdays from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm
For updates, feel free to message the local crew at +506 6002 0256, or check out their Facebook group: Pickleball Club Quepos Costa Rica. And if you're unsure where the courts are, you can find them on our Pickleball Map of Costa Rica
Unless you're flying into Quepos, there's a good chance you’ll pass through Jacó on your way to or from Manuel Antonio. It’s the perfect opportunity to cut your trip in half and play some pickleball in Jacó. A quick stop here lets you stretch your legs, recharge, and enjoy some great games before continuing your journey.
We recommend joining open play at Pura Pickleball, Jacó’s dedicated pickleball club:
🕙 10:00 am to 12:00 pm
🕔 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm
Open play costs $8, and paddles and balls are available on-site—though we definitely recommend bringing your own gear if you have it. Courts are also available for booking outside open play hours, and you can even schedule a lesson with a local coach.
The club features high-quality courts, a restaurant and chill area, and showers so you can hit the road fresh and ready. It’s a great place to meet local players, improve your game, or just have some fun before continuing on to your next Costa Rican destination.
